This is my dream outfit I would like to wear on Valentine's day, alas I will not be going out or wearing any cool/fancy clothing at all because I will be busy working in my new house or packing/unpacking moving boxes.

I am not a fan of Valentine's Day at all so I don't mind that my husband and I are not going to celebrate it. What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

MAC Naturally Collection and a flower

Last week MAC released the Naturally Collection and repromoted two famous MSFs Blonde and Redhead. Bluntly the press pictures and even the swatches and snapshots from Temptalia did not excite me at all but I went to my favourite MAC counter and checked the collection out in person.
I ended up getting two of the Mineralize eyeshadows: Cloudy Afternoon and Summer Haze.

I picked a very light Summer Haze with the least amount possible of the copper veining so that it suits my skintone. The Cloudy Afternoon reminds me of my beloved Stila Cloud eyeshadow but it is a little bit greener, which complements my blue eyes even better.

I have to say that I already own Blonde and Redhead MSF from the Blonde, Brunette, Redhead Collection back in 2008 (I guess) and both of them are fabulous. Blonde is the perfect shimmery blush for me, when my skin looks dead and dull. It kind of brightens my face without using highlighter.

Since I saved some money and did not get anything else at MAC, I got myself some flowers. Ehm, one flower, a Cruel Gardenia. This is an amazing product and I am thinking about getting a backup. The common Météorites products do nothing to me, I hate the smell of them and don't get the fuzz about it. The Cruel Gardenia is different. Thank God it does not smell like the other Météorites products, because otherwise I would have left the counter crying.

Please excuse the lack of posting this month, I am busy packing up my life into moving boxes, painting the walls, cleaning the new house and building new furniture. Moving date is the 17th of February, I can't wait!

January 2012 Favourites

Der Januar war ein arbeitsintensiver Monat - sowohl im Büro als auf der Baustelle gab es viel zu tun. Meine Favoriten aus dem Januar spiegeln das wieder, ich habe mich wenn dann nur sehr natürlich geschminkt.

January was a busy month. I worked a lot at the office and on the construction site. My January favorites are just a few random bits and bobs I enjoyed during the cold weather.

Gesicht/Face:

Meine Haut kommt überhaupt nicht mit der kalten Luft draußen und der warmen Heizungsluft drinnen, sie braucht mehr Feuchtigkeit, als sonst. Also habe ich bevorzugt Cremeprodukte verwendet. Vor allem den Becca Hydrating Primer, der es mit ermöglicht hat überhaupt flüssiges Makeup zu tragen. Ich habe ihn übrigens komplett aufgebraucht. Keine Sorge, der Nachschub steht schon bereit ...

My skin has a hard time to cope with the cold outside and the warmth inside, so my favorite face products are (almost) all creamy products that hydrate the skin. I went back to my Becca primer and used it up completely. Don't panic I have a backup already. ;-)

Als ich das Caviar Dreams Quad gekauft habe, war ich nicht wirklich sicher, ob ich es wirklich oft verwenden würde. Im Januar ist es mir beim Ausmisten in die Hände gefallen und seither habe ich es jeden Tag verwendet. Somit hätten wir die Verwendungsfrage eindeutig geklärt.

When I purchased MAC's Caviar Dreams quad I was not quite sure if I would like it. In the gebinning of January this quad 'fell' into my hands and I used it every single day since then. Now I have to admit that I really like it.

Meine Lippen waren im Dezember extrem trocken und rauh. Daher habe ich fast nur Lippenpflegestift und zu besonderen Anlässen Gloss getragen.

My lips were very dry and chapped during December. So I wore chapstick every day and for special occasions I topped the chapstick with some gloss.

Ich habe einen weiteren Duft von Jo Malone gekauft und ihn jeden einzelnen Tag im Januar getragen. Ich liebe Patchouli, es ist dunkel und düster - so wie ich.

I bought another perfume by Jo Malone and wore it every single day in January. I love Patchouli, it's dark and mysterious - like me.

Blusherine and I kind of met on the internet. We are both Austrian bloggers who share the same passion for makeup and the pretty things in life. Meeting bloggers offline can sometimes be disappointing but in Blusherine's case we instantly clicked. As time went by Blusherine joined the Hippo-Club and brought a lot of joy and happiness to my life for she is a positive person. This may sound cheesy but I am very proud to call her my friend and hippo sister.

This week Blusherine blogged about her new shoes she got when she was on vacation and I instantly fell in love with them. Falling in love with shoes is something I do all the time. Unfortunately the price of these shoes turned me off but I could not let this go. I went on the internet and started researching these pair of shoes and well, I found them. Today they arrived and I am very excited about them.

I never mentioned this before but I do own more than 250 pairs of shoes. Well, now I own even more than 250 pairs ... Besides makeup shoes are a huge hobby of mine, alas both of my passions are pretty money-consuming.

Blusherine suggested serveral times that I should blog about my shoes, maybe because she is curious about my numerous pairs. So this is kind of the beginning of a new series on my blog, the series about my shoes.

Usually I don't keep the boxes my new shoes come in but I really like the cute pink Fornarina box. This could make a great addition to my boudoir. What do you think, should I keep the box?

I bought these beauties online via Amazon for 67,93 Euros which is a pretty good bargain. Blusherine paid 130 Euros for hers.
Although they are stiletto pumps they are very comfortable to wear once you managed to put them on. They may not be business appropriate but worn with a suit they look quite classy.

Glossybox Januar 2012

Was macht einen Montag zu einem guten Tag? Das Einteffen der Glossybox . Heute kam in der gewohnt adretten Verpackung die Box für den Monat Januar 2012 bei mir an. Ich möchte euch nun meine Eindrücke von der 2. Glossybox für Österreich schildern.

Als ich den Karton geöffnet habe, war ich verwundert nicht die blasrosa Box, welche ich erwartet hatte, vor mir zu haben, sondern eine Version in schreiendem Pink. Versteht mich nicht falsch, ich mag Pink, mich hat nur die Intensität und der Kontrast zum Naturfarbenen Umkarton etwas geschockt.

Aber ich muss zugeben, dass mit die knallpinke Variante der Glossybox wesentlich besser gefällt, als die rote Weihnachtsbox. Es ist eine clevere Idee nicht alle Boxen in der gleichen Farbe zu gestalten, sondern in besonderen Monaten auf besondere Farben zu setzen. Die pinke Box bekommt einen Ehrenplatz in meinem neuen Damenzimmer.

Als ich die pinke Box geöffnet habe, wusste ich dann, warum sich das Glossybox-Team diesen Monat für Pink entschieden hat: Der Valentinstag steht vor der Tür!

Die Innenverpackung wurde sogar mit einem romantischen pinken Herz zusammengeklebt, um nochmal auf das Valentins-Thema hinzuweisen. Dass diese Glossybox, genau wie die erste mit Liebe für die Abonentinnen zusammengestellt wurde, steht außer Frage, vor allem wenn man sich den Inhalt ansieht.

Auch dieses Mal sind Produkte dabei, die ich bereits in voller Größe in Verwendung habe, ich freue mich aber über die Luxusprobengröße, die ich, wenn ich verreise, mitnehmen kann, ohne aus meinen großen Produkten umständlich etwas abfüllen zu müssen.

Meine Meinung zur Glossybox Beauty trifft St. Valentin

Verpackung

Wie immer tadellos geschützt durch doppelte Kartonverpackung und Füllmaterial im Inneren präsentiert sich die Box diesmal in schreiendem Pink. Diese Farbe gefällt mir noch besser, als das klassische Weihnachtsrot.
Allerdings bin ich kein Fan des Valentinstags und hätte mich über eine reguläre blassrosa Box ohne Motto ebenso gefreut, wie über die Special-Box.
Natürlich werde ich das Füllmaterial auch dieses Mal meinen Katzen zum Spielen anbieten.

Inhalt

Clinique High Impact Mascara
Der Hersteller verspricht endlos lange und dichte Wimpern bei Benutzung dieser Mascara. Vielgelobt von Makeupartists und Youtube Gurus handelt es sich bei dieser Mascara tatsächlich um das kleine Schwarze unter den Mascaras. Für mich und meine Wimpern bringt dieses Produkt einen deutlich verlängernden Effekt, allerdings endlos lang werden meine Wimpern auch mit dieser Mascara nicht. Dieses Produkt hält und hält, es übersteht ohne weiteres einen ganzen Arbeitstag inkl. Abendessen und Cocktail mit den Freundinnen. Wieder zu Hause lässt sich das Produkt einfach und rückstandslos entfernen. Ich benutze zum Abschminken das Cleanse-Off-Oil von MAC.
Die kleine Schwester meiner großen High Impact aus der pinken Glossybox wird in mein Handtaschenbeautykit wandern, falls ich an einem stressigen Morgen mal wieder vergessen sollte meine Wimpern zu tuschen.

Kérastase Elixir Ultime

Für die langhaarigen Beauties unter uns ist dieses Produkt die Rettung, wenn das Haar extremen Bedingungen ausgesetzt ist. Ich habe einige Haar-Öle getestet, unter anderem Moroccanoil, das Haaröl von Syoss und Macadamia Natural Oil. Anfangs fand ich den Geruch des Kérastase-Produkts schrecklich, habe mich dann aber daran gewöhnt und empfinde ihn mittlerweile als angenehm. Das Produkt pflegt meine Haare wunderbar, sei es als Leave-in oder als Haarmaske, welche ich über Nacht einwirken lasse, wenn am Folgetag eine Haarwäsche ansteht. Für alle, die gerne das Produkt testen möchten bietet die Glossybox diesen Monat die Möglichkeit.

Khiel's Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 15

Khiel's stellt im Rahmen ihrer sentsationellen Ultra Facial Linie auch einen Moisturizer her, der mit LSF 15 als Luxusprobe in der Glossybox enthalten war. Ich verwende die Ultra Facial Linie sehr gerne, weil sie duftneutral und sehr pflegend ist, ohne meine empfindliche Haut zu reizen. Dieses Produkt werde ich mir dennoch für den Frühling aufheben, denn im Moment ist es mir nicht reichhaltig genug (ich verwende momentan von L'occitane die Shea-Butter Gesichtscreme).

Lancome Génifique -Konzentrat

Da ich es ethisch bedingt (die Marke betreibt Tierversuche) ablehne Produkte von Lancome zu benutzen, werde ich dieses Produkt nicht besprechen und ungenutzt an meine Freundin Nyota weitergeben.

STYX Naturcosmetic Aromatherapie Mandarine Orange Körpermilch

Wunderbar, dass ein Naturkosmetikprodukt in der Glossybox enthalten ist! Diese Körpermilch ist im Gegesatz zu anderen Naturkosmetikmarken nur dezent parfumiert, was mir sehr zusagt. Nah einem ersten Test kann ich sagen, dass ich die Körpermilch ohne allergische Reaktion vertrage und freue mich schon auf die weitere Anwendung.

The good, the bad, the ugly

Obwohl mich das Valentinstags-Motto dieser Box persönlich nicht anspricht, tun es die enthaltenen Produkte umso mehr. Für mich ist diese Box sehr gelungen, vier von fünf Produkten treffen bei mir voll ins Schwarze. Besonders gefreut habe ich mich über das STYX-Produkt, weil ich von dieser Marke noch nichts gestestet habe und durch die Glossybox die Möglichkeit dazu habe.

Der Preis von 11,50 Euro ist für diese Box meiner Meinung auch wieder voll und ganz gerechtfertigt und ich kann sie neugierigen bzw. experimentierfreudigen Beauties nur empfehlen. Laut dem Glossybox-Team wird im Moment auch an alternativen Bezahlungsvarianten gearbeitet, was es auch Mädels, die keine Kreditkarte zur Verfügung haben, möglich machen sollte, die Glossybox zu beziehen. TAG: If my whole makeup would suddenly disappear ...

There is this German tag going on and although nobody tagged me I would like to join the tag-waggon and think about which things I would repurchase if my whole makeup would suddenly disappear.

First of all I would blame some evil fairy (pictured below) or a really bad person for stealing all my makeup, then I would start crying because I spent years putting my makeup collection together. Some of my products are very rare from old limited editions and I could not repurchase them, even if I'd like to.

The meaning behind this tag is to show your 10 beauty essentials you cannot live without. I assume that the thief did neither touch my brushes or my nailpolish-collection. Otherwise this would be impossible for me, I cannot do makeup without brushes.

So here are the 10 products I would repurchase asap.

1. MAC Matchmaster Foundation Shade 1
As you all know I suffer from facial erythrosis and I need liquid foundation for an even looking skin in my face. My foundation of choice is MAC's Matchmaster in shade 1. That's so funny, I never thought I would list a MAC foundation as my favorite foundation but I purchased it when it came out and never went back to my MUFE HD.

2. Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer
Let's face it, I'm getting old so I need a line smoothing concealer for my under-eye darkness. This concealer is great because it provides coverage and does not collect in my fine lines.

3. MUFE HD Inivisible Setting Powder
Though my skin is dry, I need to set my concealer and my T-zone. This powder is very finely milled which leaves the skin looking almost bare after application.

4. Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Cherub
During the cold months I prefer liquid or cream blush to give a little colour and life back to my almost ghostly white looking skin. Daniel Sandler's Watercolourblushes are great because they look like airbrush. The colour Cherub is the bestselling colour of the line because it suits many different skintones.

5. Catrice Eyebrow-Duo
This eyebrow-set is great because it provides a great value for a minimum price. I alter between the two shades inside, depending on the roots of my hair showing less or more.

6. CHEAT: UDPP and MAC's Painterly Paintpot
I have to cheat on that one, because I could not decide which eye-primer I prefer. I use them both together to cover the discolouration on my eyelids. My skin is dry but my eyelids are quite oily so I need a primer because I hate creasing.

7. MAC Eyeshadow Short Shorts
This is my only limited edition product in this list. I use this as my face-highlighter and to highlight my browbone and the inner V of my eyes. Don't ask me about my numerous backups ...

8. Clinique Brush on Cream Eyeliner Black
My holy grail when it comes to gel eyeliner. It is smooth and so I can draw on the finest line without re-dipping the brush into the product. If everything else fails I could do a smokey eye with this liner as well.

9. Diorshow Iconic Mascara
This is so bad ... I know that Dior tests on animals and I still keep repurchasing this mascara because I did not find anything that does the trick for me like this mascara does. If you know a mascara that works similar to this one, please let me know because I hate the feeling that I get every day I apply this mascara thinking of the animal-tests.

10. Clinique Chubby Stick in Chunky Cherry
I love red lips but I also like to condition my lips especially during the cold months. So this Chubby Stick would be my lipstick of choice because it is buildable and nourishes my chapped lips really well.

Mein erstes Mal bei Maccosmetics.at

Irgendwann ist immer das erste Mal. Auch bei mir und dem (neuen) Onlineshop von MAC maccosmetics.at. Ich bin ein routinierter Onlineshopper, ich bestelle gerne und auch zuweilen viel im Internet. Und da MAC nur eine der drei limitierten Kollektionen im Januar 2012 an die österreichischen Counter gebracht hat, kam ich dazu den Onlineshop von MAC erstmalig auszuprobieren.

Nach einem kleinen Informationsdebakel mit der Estee Lauder Zentrale in Wien wurde der Zeitraum des Erscheinens der Gaerth Pugh und Iris Apfel Kollektion auf 1. bis ca. 11. Januar eingegrenzt. Das hatte zur Folge, dass ich jeden Tag mehrmals den Onlineshop von MAC aufgerufen habe, um ja nichts zu verpassen. Pünktlich am 11. Januar war ich nervlich am Ende meiner Kräfte und die Kollektionen waren endlich verfügbar. Nach einem kurzen Freudenpiepser im Büro (Freudenschrei kann man es nicht nennen), rief ich meine Freundin Nyota an und legte meine gewünschten Produkte in den Warenkorb. Nach einigen Klicks war ich um ein gelungenes zufriedenstellendes Onlineshoppingerlebnis reicher. Da hat sich die 10-tägige Nervenstrapaze ja gelohnt!

Nun blieb mir nur noch eins übrig: Zu warten ... bis es heute soweit war: Mein MAC-Paket ist angekommen.

Leider hat unsere K&K Post AG den Auftritt meines kleinen schwarzen Pakets durch das plakative Bekleben mit hässlichen Kontrollbarcodes gnadenlos ruiniert. Die Verpackung an sich ist in schlichtem Schwarz gehalten und zweckmässig. Mein Paket kam unbeschädigt an.

Anders wie so manche Pakete aus den USA ließ sich dieses leicht mit Hilfe einer handelsüblichen Büroschere öffnen. Im Paket befand sich in schwarzes Seidenpapier gewickelt meine bestellte Ware.

Der Grund meiner Bestellung war das Strada-Blush aus der Gareth Pugh Kollektion. Nachdem mich die Verpackung dieser Kollektion begesiert hat, wollte ich zumindest ein Teil daraus kaufen. Meine Wahl fiel nach langem Hin und Her auf Strada und ich freue mich schon aufs Ausprobieren.

Aus der Iris Apfel Kollektion wollte ich nur den Lidschatten Silver Gull. Die Lippenstifte, welche überaus heiß begehrt zu sein scheinen, haben mich nicht gereizt, weil ich solche Farben bereits besitze. Wahrscheinlich wäre ich ohnedies zu spät gekommen, denn es waren anscheinend nur wenige Produkte im Onlineshop verfügbar.

The good, the bad, the ugly

Bestellt habe ich am Donnerstag, den 12. Januar und mein Paket hat mich heute am 17. Januar erreicht. Das macht eine Lieferzeit von 3 Werktagen, was völlig in Ordnung ist. Bezahlt habe ich mittels Bankeinzug, das hat ebenfalls problemlos funktioniert.

Meine Produkte kamen unbeschädigt und tadellos bei mir an, die Verpackung hat den Inhalt gut geschützt. Die Rechnung musste ich allerdings erst suchen, sie befand sich unter dem glamourösen Seidenpapier im letzten Eck.

Leider (oder vielleicht wieder einmal vollkommen beabsichtigt, um die Exclusivität zu unterstreichen) hat MAC sich wenig Gedanken über die verfügbaren Stückzahlen im Onlineshop gemacht. Zwar habe ich bekommen, was ich wollte, aber viele, die ebenso wie ich am ersten Tag bestellen wollten, standen bereits vor virtuellen aber leeren Regalen. Das muss meiner Meinung nach nicht sein! Österreich hat durchaus ein paar MAC Counter und man hätte sich für den Onlineshop durchaus mit einem Rechenschieber/Taschenrechner bewaffnen können, um einen Forecast durchzurechnen, wie viel Stück pro Produkt gelistet werden sollen. Hier besteht zweifellos Verbesserungsbedarf.

Das Einkaufen im Onlineshop wird für mich eher die Ausnahme bleiben. Viel zu gerne gehe ich mit den Mädels,wenn limitierte Kollektionen erscheinen, zum Counter meines Vertrauens, um mir alles in Farbe und bunt selbst anzusehen. Ich liebe es die Produkte zu swatchen, um mir einen ersten Eindruck zu verschaffen. Zusätzlich bekomme ich auch immer wertvolle Tipps der MAC-Mitarbeiterinnen, was Kombinationsmöglichkeiten anbelangt. Im Zweifelsfall kann ich mir auch Produkte unverbindlich auftragen lassen, was im Onlineshop nicht möglich ist.
Falls es weitere online exclusive Kollektionen geben wird, aus denen mich bestimmte Produkte interessieren, werde ich bestimmt wieder bei maccosmetics.at shoppen. Aber die nächste limitierte Kollektion schaue ich mir wieder am Counter an und das ist auch gut so!

The joy of personal shopping

Personal shopping is great: You give somebody a list of products and some cash and they provide you with products that are not available at your country. The lovely Jenny from inyourface (please check out her blog if you haven't by now) went to NYC and brought me back a Sephora goddie bag.

I asked for two things that are not available in Austria: First a backup of my trusty Clinique Brush on Cream Liner in black, which is my holy grail of gel eyeliner. And second one of Tarte's Amazonian Clay blushes. The colour of my choice was Exposed which made Jenny a hunts(wo)man in NYC. She visited 5 or more Sephoras to track it down and bring it home to me.

Exposed is a nude blush colour which reminds me a lot of NARS Penny Lane blush or my beloved Stunner blush by MAC. The Amazonian Clay Blushes come in many beautiful colours but I was not sure if my skin would react allergical to them so I asked just for one to try them out.
This is what the packaging looks like: nothing fancy but the blush inside counts.

The compact has a mirror inside, which is quite convenient for me because I take my blushes with me to work for touch ups. The blush has the Amazon river on it which I find quite cute.

I used the blush amost every day since I got it and thank God, there was no bad reaction to it. The colour payoff is quite decent and the product can be sheered out easily.
As I am very pleased with my purchase I plan on getting another springtime colour soon.

This is a picture of the Clinique Brush on Liner pot. I've gone through 3 of them now and I will always repurchase this product because it is my go-to gel liner. It is smooth and more liquid than let's say MAC's Blacktrack which makes it easier to work with for me (I'm a gothic girl and used to liquid eyeliner). Hopefully Clinique will bring the Brush on Cream Liner to Austria in addition to their permanent line soon, I'm looking forward to that.

What I'm up to lately ...

Some of you might be wondering why I'm MIA. Construction is proceeding well and hopefully we will be moving in our new house in February. Most of my speartime I spend working on the construction site or deciding important things like: Do we need a mirror on this wall? Where will the new TV go? Unfortunatly there is no time left for creating looks or doing fotoshoots but I hope this will chance once we get moved in.
To keep you updated I want to show you what I'm doing at the moment.

In the evenings after work I like to paint my nail art tips to get an overview of my nailpolish collection. While doing that I decide which polishes to keep and which one will go to my upcoming blogsale. I have way too much nailpolishes and therefore I have to go through my stash. Painting the nail art tips calms me down, it's like meditation.

In our new house there will be a boudoir just for me and all the pretty things I own. This is like a dream come true for me, I always wanted a room like that since I was 12 years old. Now that the walls are painted it is time to decide which furniture I will put into my room. Here are two random things from IKEA that I like.

Lucky me I have my smartphone handy when we go to IKEA ... So I don't have to write all the names of the cupboards down.

And finally my furry boy turned 1 year recently. This is kind of a birthday-shot my husband took. Look how big he is! I'm so proud of him, he is a special tomcat.

Although I'm not posting fantasy looks right now I hope you will stay readers of my blog. I really feel bad for neglecting my blog because I love blogging but it's a pity a day has got only 24 hours.

Naked 2 Show and Tell plus Happy New Year Giveaway

Finally I got naked again! ;-)

I love the original Urban Decay Naked Palette, especially the Naked eyeshadow but I hate the velvet packaging. When I saw UD coming out with the new Naked 2 palette I knew I had to get it. I ordered it via ebay and somehow I got 2 palettes. Instead of sending one palette back I thought: Let's make a giveaway for my readers! If you want to read more about the giveaway please scroll down to the end of this posting.

The Naked 2 palette has a metal casing and it comes with 12 eyeshadows, a double ended brush and a lip plumping gloss in teh colour Naked (how creative!). The only thing that annoys me is the fact that the shade Half Baked is in the Naked 2 palette again. Half Baked is not my favourite colour so I would have prefered a new eyeshadow shade instead.

The Naked 2 Palette arrived before Christmas and I have benn using it every day ever since. I love it. The colours can be used for neutral and dramatic looks. The only thing I don't like is the gloss.

MAC Daphne Guiness Collection Show and Tell

When it comes to beer, I'm not the kind of girl who orders a Guiness but I do like Daphne Guiness. She is a smoking hot blonde and she has her own MAC collection coming out January 2nd 2012 in Austria.

What did I purchase?
When I saw the first pictures online I was intrigued by the Interior Life eyeshadow quad. Sadly Temptalia rated it with an F, so I checked it out in person to see what it is really like. I was so happy that the pigmentation of the quad is good because I love the colours Interior Life and Bruised Sky. This quad will be my everyday business makeup and I see myself reaching for it a lot in the futute.
The pigments surprised me. I did not plan on getting any pigments because my pigment drawer is completty stuffed but I could not resist the pigment Nebula. This is such a gorgeous cooltoned brown with shimmer and it will make a perfect smokey eye. Aurora is a frosted rose-tinted brown, a perfect all over the lid colour when I like to sleep 10 minutes longer in the morning.
The highlight in this collection is the Red Dwarf lipstick. Honestly I like dwarfs, they know how to eat and to drink and they throw fabulous parties in their mines. This raspberry coloured lipstick can be worn for a night out or for a business meeting as well. I like the Pro Longwear formula lipsticks because they don't fade quickly.

What did I already own?
I already own Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre and Circa Plum pigment (not pictured, I forgot to get it out of the pigment drawer). Both products are great, especially the Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre is a very nice blush for fair beauties.

What did I skip and why?
I skipped all of the Creemsheen Glasses because I don't like them at all. Sadly the Approaching Storm lipstick was too brown for me and the other two lipsticks were just some we've-seen-it-all-before colours. Vintage Grape Blush Ombre is a nice colour but I do not see myself wearing it a lot.
I passed on the nailpolishes as well because I already own similar colours.

The good, the bad, the ugly
For me the Daphne Guiness collection has great neutrals in it, the Blush Ombres are a fabulous repromote and if you like the Pro Longwear forulation of lipsticks check the colours out, they are great. The promo picture showing Daphne Guiness in this hot leather bra/top is awesome and I will try to copy the makeup shown.
If you don't like neutrals this collection is nothing for you and you should raher check out the Iris Apfel collection which will only be available online at maccosmetics.at
Bluntly I don't get Temptalias rating of quads recently. All quads Christine rated F or worse I really liked. Maybe there are diffent quads in Europe and America.

Das Jahr 2011 ist mehr oder minder verflogen, es sind nur noch ein paar Tage bis zum Beginn des neuen Jahres. Hier sind nun meine Favoriten des Monats Dezember.

The year of 2011 is almost over, so here are my December favourites.

Gesicht/Face:
Der Watercolour Blush von Daniel Sandler ist auch diesen Monat bei meinen Favouriten dabei, ich habe keinen anderen Blush getragen, als Cherub, seit ich ihn bekommen habe. Bestimmt werde ich mir mehrere Farben zulegen. Dazu habe ich als Highlighter einen eisigen Ton von Jemma Kidd bevorzugt.

Augen/ Eyes:
Der Dezember war hektisch und zusätzlich hatte ich einige (mehr oder weniger formelle) Anlässe in meinem Terminkalender. Die MUFE Smokey Eyes Palette hat mir gute Dienste geleistet, weil sie sowohl neutrale, als auch dunkle Töne beinhaltet.

December was quite hectic and I had to attend some (more or less) formal parties. The MUFE Smokey Eyes palette came quite handy because there are neutral and deep tones in it.

Lippen/ Lips:
Meine Lippen waren im Dezember extrem trocken und rauh. Daher habe ich fast nur Lippenpflegestift und zu besonderen Anlässen Gloss getragen.

My lips were very dry and chapped during December. So I wore chapstick every day and for special occasions I topped the chapstick with some gloss.

Allfälliges/ Randomness:
Parfum wird für mich immer ein Buch mit sieben Siegeln sein. Es gibt Mädels, die kennen sich wahrlich wunderbar mit Parfums aus (und ich gehe ihnen mit meinen Anfängerfragen sicher maßlos auf die Nerven), aber ich bin keine dieser Mädels. Mein Parfum suche ich nach hübschen Flakons aus. Das hat sich geändert, als mich meine Freundin Nyota zu Jo Malone mitgenommen hat. Jetzt bin ich offiziell süchtig und werde mich im Duft-Layering versuchen.

Perfume was and will ever be something myterious for me. There are people who know everything about perfumes (and I ask them hideous questions all the time) but I don't know anything about perfumes at all. Most of the time I am drawn to a specific perfume because it has a cute bottle. This month my perfume universe was turned upside down when my friend Nyota introduced me to Jo Malone. Now I'm officially addicted to their perfumes and will experiment with different fragrances.

Worauf mich im Januar 2012 besonders freue? Es mag vielleicht abgedroschen klingen, aber das kommende Jahr wird mein Jahr werden. Mein Mann und ich werden endlich umziehen und es wird alles wunderbar werden. Und kosmetiktechnisch werde ich mir den Red Dwarf Lippenstift von MAC kaufen, nur wegen des Namens!

Diese Woche war es endlich soweit, die erste Glossybox für Österreich wurde ausgeliefert. Diesmal hat die bereits aus Deutschland bekannte Box ihr wunderschönes weihnachtsrotes Festagsoutfit angelegt und so schon vor dem Fest Weihnachtsstimmung verbreitet. Akkurat verpackt mit Schleife und Beipackzettel präsentiert sich die neue Box nun auch den Beauties in der Alpenrepublik. Aber seht selbst ...

Eigentlich wollte ich alle Produkte einem umfassenden Test unterziehen, bevor ich meine Meinung über die Glossybox kundtue, aber da ich einige der Produkte bereits besitze und/oder selbst verwende, mache ich eine Ausnahme.

Meine Meinung zur Glossybox

Verpackung
Zugegeben, ich war total aufgeregt, als ich meine Box in den Händen gehalten habe, denn ich liebe Überraschungen und Luxus-Produktproben. Beim Öffnen wurde ich durch die Weihnachtsgestaltung sehr positiv überrascht. Schon alleine die Box ist sehr hochwertig und wird einen Ehrenplatz in meinem Damenzimmer erhalten. Was ich darin verstauen werde, weiß ich noch nicht genau, aber sie würde sich hervorragend für meine Glitzersteine eignen. Was meint ihr?
Alle enthaltenen Produkte sind unbeschädigt und gut verpackt zu mir gelangt. Kleine Anmerkung am Rande: Meine Katzen haben sich unheimlich über das Füllmaterial gefreut und es gleich als ihres gekennzeichnet. Eine Box voll Freude für Frauchen und ihre Katzen.

Inhalt
Ich kam nicht umhin im Vorfeld über den Inhalt zu rätseln und war, als ich die Box geöffnet habe, unglaublich überrascht, dass so viele wirklich tolle Produkte enthalten sind. Damit hatte ich gar nicht gerechnet.
Das Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo verwende ich selbst seit einigen Monaten und habe mich sehr über die Luxus-Reisegröße gefreut. Es macht meine doch recht trockenen Haare seidenweich und sorgt dafür, dass sie nicht strohig aussehen.
OPI ist eine meiner Lieblingsnagellackmarken und das dezente Grau French Quarter for your Thoughts ist ein klassischer, bürotauglicher Ton, den man das ganze Jahr über tragen kann.
Die Biotherm Bodylotion verwende ich bereits seit über einem Jahr und sie tut meiner trockenen, empfindlichen Haut nach dem Duschen sehr gut. Sie zieht rasch ein, hat einen angenehmen Duft und hinterlässt keinen störenden Fettfilm. Auch hier freue ich mich über die Reisegröße, diese wird mich bald in meinen Thermenurlaub begleiten.
Babor Glossy Liplite ist ein Gadget-Produkt, mit der eingebauten Beleuchtung und dem Spiegel. Als kleiner Technik-Freak finde ich solche Produkte höchst spannend. Die Farbe gefällt mir gut und durch den Silberglitzer ist es auch weihnachtspartytauglich.
Einzig und allein mit der Luxus Creme Mille 1000 von Maria Galland weiß ich nicht wirklich etwas anzufangen. Faltenprävention ist wichtig, aber dieses Produkt ist etwas für reife Frauen ab 40. Aber auch dafür habe ich Verwendung: Meine Mama freut sich bestimmt über eine Luxusprobe einer ihrer Lieblingsmarken.

Die Box habe ich unverbindlich von Glossybox zum Testen erhalten, vielen Dank!
Regulär hätte die Box 11,50 Euro gekostet, was ich persönlich für die Produkte, die Verpackung und den Versand als gerechtfertigt erachte.
Der Inhalt der ersten Box ist wunderbar, allerdings haben uns deutsche Bloggerinnen gezeigt, dass ein guter Start noch kein gelungenes Abonment ausmacht. Wenn ihr neugierig seid, wie ich und gerne neue Produkte testet, dann würde ich euch dazu raten die Glossybox zu bestellen, denn ihr könnt den Vertrag jederzeit kündigen. Falls ihr euch aber nichts aus Luxussamples macht, die ihr euch nicht selbst aussuchen könnt, dann ist diese Box nichts für euch.
Ich werde die Glossybox und auch die Inhalte der kommenden Boxen im Auge behalten.

This year I'm not feeling festive at all. Chinda and I are debating to decorate the tree in black with skulls and not celebrating Christmas at all. November Favourites

Etwas verspätet zeige ich euch heute meine November-Favoriten.

These are my favourites for the month of November.

Gesicht/Face:
Sobald die Temperaturen fallen, wird meine Haut noch trockener, als sie bereits im Sommer ist. Also streige ich komplett auf Creme- bzw. flüssiges Rouge um. Den Watercolour Blush von Daniel Sandler habe ich jeden Tag getragen, weil er mir so gut gefällt. Die Farbe passt perfekt und man kann ihn dezent, aber auch overblushed auftragen. Als Highlighter habe ich diesen Monat das Beauty Powder Snowglobe von MAC getragen. Da wir leider noch immer keinen Schnee haben und auch die eisige Kälte auf sich warten lässt, habe ich die Kälte wenigstens in meinem Gesicht getragen.

When temperature drops I prefer to wear cremeblush due to my very dry skin. I wore the watercolour blush by Daniel Sandler every day. As a highlighter I wore MAC's Snow Globe. As we are lacking snow and icy cold temperatures I had to fake winter in my face.

Augen/ Eyes:
Wenn ich ein eher schlichteres Augenmakeup getragen habe, habe ich MAC's Moring Frost Paintpot als Grundlage verwendet, weil er einen wunderschönen Schimmer hat. Allerdings habe ich den November über eher mehr Smokes Eyes getragen. Dafür habe ich Hocus Pocus und Parisian Skies verwendet.

When I wore a neutral eye I primed my lid with MAC's Morning Frost paintpot. The rest of the month I went for a rather smokey eye look using Hocos Pocus and Parisian Skies together.

Bourjois sagt zum Abschied leise 'servus!' und zieht sich vom österreichischen Markt zurück. BIPA bietet auf die Marke einen sehr großzügigen 50%-igen Rabatt an, der mich dazu verführt hat einige Dinge zu kaufen, die mich schon länger interessiert haben. Unter anderem Foundation und Concealer aus der Healthy Mix-Reihe, welche ja von Lisa Eldridge oft verwendet und gelobt wird.

Der Rückzug vom österreichischen Markt vollzieht sich sehr leise: keine groß angelegten Ankündigungen, ledigiglich bunte -50% Schilder in der Drogerie. Mich hat Nyota per SMS auf den Rabatt aufmerksam gemacht, ein Nachfragen in der BIPA Filiale brachte dann Gewissheit.

War der Rückzug vorherzusehen? Meiner Meinung war es absehbar, da die Produkte eindeutig zu teuer für die Drogerie sind. Zwar war Bourjois mit der gebackenen Struktur von Lidschatten und Blushes ein Highlight bei BIPA, aber leider hat die Marke es nicht geschafft mich durch die Platzierung bei BIPA davon zu überzeugen, das mehr an Geld für die Produkte auszugeben. Wenn ich für dieselbe Summe bei MAC einkaufen kann, kaufe ich lieber dort. Schade eigentlich, denn ich habe heute erst entdeckt, dass sie geeignete Makeupfarben für hellhäutige Kundinnen führen.

Mein 'au revoir, Bourjois!' ist nicht mit Traurigkeit erfüllt, sondern eher mit Vorfreude auf die Marke, die statt der französischen Kosmetik bei BIPA gelistet werden wird. Lassen wir uns überraschen!

A well known drugstore brand is leaving Austria. So my local drugstore BIPA put a generous 50% off discount on all the products and I bought some of the products I've been eying for a quite long time. Am I sad that Boujois is leaving Austria? Frankly, I was tempted to buy things from their line several times but did not purchase anything in the end because the price was too high for drugstore products. I own several nail polishes by Bourjois that I bought in Paris and I like the Effet 3D glosses as well but this 'au revoir!' is not a sad one for me. I'm glad we have GOSH at our drugstores now and I'm looking forward to the brand that will be replacing Bourjois.

WaxWhiteRose hat mich getagged mir über die sieben Tugenden Gedanken zu machen. Zuerst war ich ein wenig erschrocken, weil sie das Ganze recht biblisch anhörte, glücklicherweise geht es bei dem Tag aber um Makeup.

Klugheit: Welchen weisen Rat in Bezug auf Kosmetik hast Du?

"Banish the word SHOULDN'T from your makeup-vokabulary forever." (F. Nars)

Verbote und Einschränkungen im Bereich Makeup sind mir zuwider, es widerstpricht der freien Kunstform. Wie oft habe ich schon bei Douglas, Marionnaud und in anderen Beautytempeln gehört: "Das dürfen Sie nicht tragen, Sie sind ein Sommer/Winter/Herbst/Frühlingstyp!!!!" Ein anderer Ausspruch, der mir auf die Nerven geht: "Entweder betonte Augen, oder betonte Lippen." Liebe Leute, wenn ihr euch wohlfühlt mit Smokey Eyes und roten Lippen, dann tragt diese mit Stolz, auch zum Brunch. Makeup hat für mich keine Regeln, erlaubt ist was gefällt. Und bitte, nehmt die ganze Sache nicht so ernst, es ist nur Makeup.

Gerechtigkeit: Welches Billigprodukt ist genauso gut, wie sein teures Gegenstück?

Hier muss ich generell sagen, dass die Drogerieprodukte im deutsch-österreichischen Raum in letzter Zeit stark aufgeholt haben. Für mich ist das Augenbrauen-Duo von Catrice ebenso gut, wie die teuren Alternativen anderer Marken. Zwar ist die Verpackung nicht so luxoriös, aber das Produkt, welches sich darin verbirgt, ist wunderbar, egal ob es Farbzusammenstellung oder Textur betrifft.

Tapferkeit: Durch welchen Teil Deiner Beauty-Routine musst Du Dich tapfer quälen?

Peelen. Meine Haut ist sehr senisibel und das Gerubbel verträgt sie nicht besonders gut. Hinterher ist meine Haut zwar sehr zart und weich, aber leider auch gerötet und meine Couperose tritt stärker hervor, als sonst. Daher peele ich meine Haut nur sehr selten, meistens dann, wenn ich sehe, dass sich abgestorbene Hautschüppchen bilden.

Mäßigung: Welches Produkt hättest Du gerne gekauft, es aber aus Rücksicht auf den Geldbeutel doch nicht getan?

Einige Produkte von byTerry, vor allem der Balm de Rose. Diese sprechen mich optisch und auch geruchsmässig sehr an, sind mir aber schlicht und ergreifend zu teuer.

Glaube: An welches Beauty-Produkt glaubst Du unumstößlich?

An die magische Wirkung von rotem Lippenstift. Es mag zwar eine Zeit dauern, bis man das perfekte Lippenrot für sich gefunden hat, aber dann ist es Magie in einer Lippenstifthülse! Wenn ich einen schlechten Tag habe oder unausgeschlafen bin, trage ich roten Lippenstift auf und fühle mich sofort wesentlich besser. Wenn wichtige Besprechungen anstehen, bei denen es mir wichtig ist, dass ich gehört werde, trage ich ebenfalls roten Lippenstift. Mein liebster roter Lippenstift ist Chanel Dragon, wenn ich ihn trage, fühle ich mich stark und schön wie ein Drache.

Hoffnung: Auf die Entwicklung welches Kosmetikproduktes hoffst Du?

Die Kosmetikindustrie hat mir bereits einige meiner Wünsche erfüllt, wofür ich sehr dankbar bin. Allerdings würde ich mich sehr darüber freuen, wenn endlich ein Heilmittel für Couperose gefunden werden würde. Die Cremes und Seren, die es momentan gibt, verschaffen zwar kurzfristig Linderung, aber eine echte Heilung rufen sie nicht hervor. Ich nehme an, dass sich außer mir noch ein paar andere Leute darüber freuen würden.

Liebe: Welchen Part Deiner Beauty-Routine liebst Du am meisten?

Alles was mit dem Teint zu tun hat: Makeupbase auftragen, Foundation auftragen und einarbeiten, mit Concealer Augenringe und Rötungen verschwinden lassen, Puder aufstäuben, Rouge auftragen. So erzeuge ich die Illusion eine perfekte Haut zu haben und unglaublich frisch zu wirken, obgleich sich unter der Makeupschicht Augenringe á la Black Metal Panda befinden. Ich kaufe auf am liebsten Produkte, die einen schöneren Teint versprechen. Momentan habe ich ein Faible für Highlighter, die einen elfenhaften Schimmer erzeugen.

Ich tagge meine Hippo-Schwestern: Nyota, Blusherine (viel Spass beim Übersetzen auf Englisch) und Chinda-Chan.

When it comes to using glitter on the eyes I was quite hesitant in the past. That changed when I recieved LA Splash's glitter sealing base. So there was no excuse any more to use some of my glitters. The glitter sealer makes things very easy but I am still not comfortable with the glitter on my face. Let me know what you think.

The Anastasia Bevery Hills Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes Brunette was kindly sent to me for consideration by Anastasia Beverly Hills a while ago. I spent some time experimenting with it before I write something about it on my blog. This is a handy travel size kit that contains everything to generate perfect brows. Anastacia Beverly Hills is known for being the godess of brows and the products in this palette help you to be your own brow godess at home. It comes with an angled brush, brow wax, 2 colours of shadow for the brows and 2 highlightercolours for the lid. In addidion to that you get a variety of stencils.
To be honest I like everything in the kit except for the stencils. When I draw my brows on with the stencil they look fake and unnatural. But the rest of the kit is gorgeous and I think about byuing one for a friend for christmas who is obsessed with her brows.

Bald auch bei uns: Glossybox

Nachdem Douglas die österreichische Version der bereits aus Deutschland bekannten Box of Beauty erfolgreich gelauncht hat, kommt nun auch eine weitere Box nach Österreich: Die Glossybox. Sie kommt in einer wunderschön-mädchenhaften Verpackung daher und soll zahlungswilligen Abonnentinnen jeden Monat Luxusproben als Überraschungspaket liefern. Die ersten Boxen werden Mitte Dezember ausgeliefert, man kann sich jetzt aber bereits auf der Webseite von Glossybox zum Newsletter anmelden und wird dann mit weiteren brandheißen News bezüglich der Box versorgt.

Um ehrlich zu sein, mich interessiert die Box brennend, weil sie mir rein optisch wesentlich besser gefällt, als die Douglas Box. Und wer hätte nicht gerne das Überraschungsei für den Beautyjunkie? Man hat auf deutschen Blogs bzw. auch auf Youtube recht viel über die Boxen gelesen, Gutes und Schlechtes. Für Österreich wird es sich im Lauf der Zeit zeigen, wie das Projekt Glossybox ankommt. Ich stehe der ganzen Sache neutral aber neugierig gegenüber und freue mich schon auf die erste Box.

Schön war's: Der Bloggerflohmarkt

Gestern war es soweit: Wien's erster (und hoffentlich nicht einziger) Bloggerflohmarkt öffnete seine Pforten. Mirela, Claudia und Jen haben eine wirklich tolle Veranstaltung auf die Beine gestellt! Wie schon erwähnt hatte ich meinen Stand zusammen mit Blusherine und Nyota. Es ist immer klasse, wenn man auf einem Flohmarkt nette Standnachbarinnen hat, mit denen man plaudern kann. Meine zweite Nachbarin war Renate, die ich leider trotz großen Anstrenungen nicht dazu bewegen konnte selbst einen Blog zu eröffnen. Allein ihrer sensantionellen Wimpern wegen müsste sie schon Kontakt zur Außenwelt in Form eines Blogs aufnehmen.

Hier seht ihr meinen Stand kurz vor der Eröffnung um 11 Uhr. Ich hatte mich durch meinen bald anstehenden Umzug und die wirklich unverschämten Preise der K&K Post AG entschlossen, großzügig auszumisten und die Ware an die zahlungswillige Kundschaft zu bringen.

Der Ansturm war absolut unvorhersehbar und einfach verblüffend. Noch nie habe ich so viele kosmetikbegeisterte Menschen (jawohl Männer und Frauen) in einem Raum gesehen! Gut, wenn bei MAC sehr stark limitierte Sachen verkauft werden, dann kann es zu Drängereien kommen, aber der Flohmarkt war eine ganz andere Erfahrung. So viele nette Leute, so viele wunderbare Gespräche, ein kleiner Hund und zusätzlich bin ich auch noch meine ungeliebten Schätze losgeworden.

Besonders gefreut habe ich mich zwei Bloggerinnen endlich persönlich kennenzulernen: Mel Eyre und Mangoblüte . Mel's Blog ist einer der wenigen österreichischen Blogs, die ich wirklich regelmässig lese und ich habe Mel auch in ihrer Blogpause richtig vermisst. Es war schön, mal mit ihr zu plaudern und zu sehen, dass ich sie auch im echten Leben wunderbar finde. Mel, falls du das liest, ich würde unheimlich gerne mal mit dir einen Tee trinken gehen und länger mit dir plaudern. Anna (auch bekannt als Mangoblüte) hatte den optisch am schönsten zurechtgemachten Stand. Nicht nur, dass sie ihre Produkte auf einer Etagére präsentiert hat, nein, sie hatte auch eine Duftkerze angezündet, um Stimmung zu machen. Dieser Ideenreichtum war wirklich wunderbar!

Obgleich ich mir vorgenommen hatte nichts zu kaufen, denn der Sinn des Beautyflohmarkts war ja Sachen loszuwerden, habe ich mit ein paar Mädels getauscht und ein paar Schätzchen ergattert.

Habt Ihr noch keine Pläne diesen Sonntag? Das Wetter soll ja nicht so prickelnd werden. Also, ich weiß, was ich machen werde ... ich werde beim Beautyflohmarkt in Wien sein, der dankenswerter Weise von Mirela, Claudia und Jen organisiert worden ist. Die Idee an sich ist sensationell: Blogger bieten ihre ungenutzten Schätze an und man kann plaudern und vielleicht das eine oder andere Schnäppchen machen. Ihr wisst ja: Was für den einen unbrauchbar, kann für den anderen ein Schatz sein!

Am Sonntag, den 13. November ab 11 Uhr werde ich zusammen mit Blusherine meine ungeliebten Schätze aus meinem dunklen Turm an willige und liebevolle neue Besitzerinnen übergeben. Auch wenn Ihr wenig Budget habt, schaut doch einfach vorbei, in der Martin Luther Kirche im kleinen Pfarrsaal, Martinsstraße 25 im 18. Bezirk in Wien. Die Location ist auch leicht zu erreichen, mit der U6 bis zur Station Michelbeuern (AKH) und von da aus zu Fuss weiter.

What I got from the Glitter and Ice collection

Let me show you what I purchased from the MAC Glitter and Ice collection at the preview event this week. I did not get much because frankly, I'm disappointed by this collection. Don't get me wrong, I still love winter and snow and ice and the darkelves of Naggaroth who live in the cold, but this collection is not for me. I expected more glitter and not the we-have-all-seen-this-before items. It reminds me of the ice scating ring they built before the Rockefeller Center in NYC, where all these well dressed, fabulous and chic girls and boys take a spin on their skates.

The silvery shiney packaging is gorgeous but I don't keep the packaging anyways.

Although I'm a huge fan of the Dazzleglasses (updated Dazzleglass-army shot, anyone?) I ended up getting just two of the four Dazzleglasses I planned to purchase. The reason why is Dressed to Dazzle and Glitter and Ice did not have the breathtaking sparkle I look for in a Dazzleglass. It may sound weird but I'm picky when it comes to Dazzleglasses. I would have rather preferred MAC repromoting Ms. Fizz which is my favourite Dazzleglass of all times then to come out with two nude shades that can easily be duped by dome drugstore gloss. What I got is Pleasure Principle and Spanking Rich Dazzleglass and I am very pleased with these two.

The Paintpots disappointed me a little bit. The lightest one Let's Skate was missing/not available due to shipping problems, the dark one For Effect reminded me of Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Myrifique or Blackground paintpot which is part of the permanent range. I purchased Morning Frost which is a gorgeous everyday colour, which has a subtle sheen/frost to it.

I compared Moring Frost to Vintage Selection that came out with the Cham Pale collection and to be honest these are completly different products. Vintage Selection is more peach and a pain in the butt to work with where as Moring Frost goes on smoothly and can be worn on it's own without any problems.

When I first read though the promotional posts about the Glitter and Ice collection I was so thrilled about the beautypowders. I'm one of those who likes beautypowders for highlighting, sculpting and other purposes. A week before the party I watched Dustin Hunter's collection review and he pretty much said that the beautypowders were crap. He suggested getting the limited edition gel powder from the Estee Lauder Modern Mercury collection instead, on which I missed out.
So I put on my amour and went to swatch the Snow Globe beautypowder that I wanted at the party and guess what: I liked it! It may not be the best beautypowder MAC has ever came out with but it does the trick: leaving a frosted sheen on the highlighting areas of my face.

I passed on the lipsticks and on the mineralize eyeshadows because there was no colour that was unique enough for me that I had to get it. The nailpolishes were pretty but I already have China Glaze's Snow Globe glitter polsih so there was no reason for me to get Unconditionally Fabulous.
The palette-kits and the brush sets were neat and they are great gifts for collection-newbies or makeup-beginners but I don't use these kits regularly and so I did pass on them as well. The collection is a great collection if you are still building your kit or if you like the posh wintery kind of Aspen feel of the collection. What I really missed in this collection were blushes - frosted blushes in icy pink or mauve. So I will take my pink and mauve blushes from the permanent line and top it with Snow Globe beautypowder, which looks absolutlely chic in my all black handbag by the way.

MAC Glitter and Ice Party

Yesterday evening I went to the MAC Glitter and Ice Preview Party. Every year in November MAC hosts a christmas-party to show clients the current christmas-collection. The place was crowded as you ca see by the first picture, they only had one display and all girls tried to swatch the products first.
I like to stay in the background for the first hour of the party and then I will go and swatch the products without girl-fights in front of the display.

Before the party I met up with Nyota, Chinda-Chan and Blusherine for an asian dinner (and a chat) and I got to know the beautiflul blogger from Inyourface.
At the party I met other fellow-bloggers like Kirschblüte, Guinevere and I finally managed to meet michischaaf. That girl is a gorgeous redhead, if I had to describe her with two words I have to say: smoking hot!
There was a makeup demo on a gorgeous model (look at her fab cheekbones!) which was quite interesting. The MUA used only products from the permanent range to achieve the Glitter and Ice look. By mixing together several shades of eyeshadow and blush the look came together perfectly. Lucky me, I have all the used products at home so I can redo it without purchasing any more products.

The model was so kind to let me take a close up picture so that you can see the amazing sculpting/shaping work that was done by the MUA.

Of course I picked up some products but I will show them in another post and share my overall impression of the collection with you.

MAC Glitter and Ice Party Makeup

Today I will meet up with the girls after work and we will attend MAC's Glitter and Ice Preview party. For me it was very hard to glam myself up for a party because I can barely open my eyes in the morning. First I wanted to create a glittery eye for the party but then I opted for a more sublte look with lashes and Dazzleglass. Dazzleglass makes every look glamouros.

Der Oktober war ein sehr arbeitsintensiver Monat für mich. Die wöchendliche Arbeit auf der Baustelle frisst sehr viel Zeit. Diesen Monat habe ich nicht besonders viele Favoriten, weil ich mir nur zur Arbeit geschminkt habe.

October was a very busy month for me, working on the construction site consumes a lot of my sparetime. Most of the month I wore business-makeup, nothing pancy so this month there are just a few favourites I would like to share with you.

Gesicht/Face:

Ich mag Pinsel und als meine Müller -25% Rabatt auf das Makeupsortiment hatte, habe ich mir den neuen Sisheido Foundation Pinsel gekauft. Bereut habe ich den Kauf absolut nicht, denn der Pinsel ist weich und das Makeup lässt sich vor allem morgens einfach und schnell auftragen. Ein weiterer Liebling ist der Stunner Blush aus der MAc Make me over Kollektion, die beste MAC Kollektion dieses Jahres für mich. Leider habe ich mir kein Backup gekauft, ich hoffe ich kann mich noch lange an meinem Schatz erfreuen.

I love brushes so I had to get the new Sisheido foundation brush and I must say I really like it. The bristels are soft and it makes makeup application in the morning so easy. MAC's Make me over collection was the best collection this year and I am really sad that I did not get a backup of the beautyful stunner blush.

Das Arbeiten auf der Baustelle hat meine Hände sehr mitgenommen, also brauchen sie im Moment extra Pflege. Die OPI Pflegeprodukte sind zwar teuer, aber sie wirken.

It is nothing fancy compared to the fotoshoots I did, but due to working on the construction site I don't have the time to rock my brushes frequently. Synthetische Pinselsets von Sigma (German Post)

Nachdem Sigma neue Präzisionspinsel auf den Markt gebracht hat, war ich neugierig und habe bestellt. Meine zweite Sigma Bestellung falls es euch interessiert. Wie beim ersten Mal waren die Pinsel zügig bei mir im Postfach und ich konnte sie bereits testen. Nun möchte ich euch gerne meine Eindrücke schildern.

Die Verpackung ist ansprechend gestaltet, die Pinsel werden in einem farbig bedruckten Karton geliefert, der wiederum in einer Transportverpackung verschickt wird. Leider waren meine Kartons etwas verdrückt, was aber dem kostbaren Inhalt nicht geschadet hat. Ich habe mich für das Sythetic Kabuki Set (Gesichtspinsel) und das Synthetic Precision Set (Augen, Highlighting) entschieden. Kaufentscheidendes Kriterium war das Material der Pinsel, denn ich bin ein großer Fan synthetischer Pinsel.

Auf der Rückseite sind die enthaltenen Pinsel aufgelistet, ebenso kann man die Nummern ebenselbiger ablesen. Ob ich mir die Nummern jemals merken werde, ist fraglich, ich hab's nicht so mit Zahlen. Was man schon anhand der Verpackung erkennen kann, ist dass das Sythetic Precision Kit lange Stiele hat, das Sythetik Kabuki Set hat meiner Meinung nach eine etwas gekürzte Fullsize-Größe.
Über das Sythetic Kabuki Set wurde bereits von vielen anderen Bloggern berichtet, daher zeige ich nur ein Symbolfoto der enthaltenen Pinsel. Meine beiden Lieblinge sind der Round Kabuki zum Auftrag von flüssiger Foundation (im Moment verwende ich die Matchmaster von MAC) und der Tapered Kabuki zum Auftrag von Highlighterprodukten (momentaner Favorit: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl). Nachdem TiffanyD auf Youtube dermaßen vom Foundationauftrag mit dem Angled Kabuki geschwärmt hat, habe ich das ausprobiert und es war ein Fiasko! Scheinbar haben Tiffany und ich eine komplett andere Auftragstechnik oder ich bin einfach morgens zu verschlafen, um mit einem schrägen Pinsel meine Foundation aufzutragen.

Das Sythetic Precision Kit enthält vier synthetische Pinsel für die Augenpartie bzw. lt. Sigma sind diese auch zum Auftrag von Concealer und Highlighter im Gesicht geeignet. Ich habe die Pinsel für meine Cremelidschatten (Paintpots von MAC, Paints von MAC und MUFE Aqua Cream Eyeshadows), meine Puderlidschatten und für meine Minerallidschatten verwendet und das Ergebnis hat mich begeistert. Zuerst war ich sehr skeptisch, weil die Pinsel recht fest gebunden sind, aber trotz ihrer Festigkeit sind sie weder kratzig noch scheitern sie beim Blenden.

Im Set enthalten sind:

Precision Angled - P84 wunderbar zum Auftrag von Highlightern geeignet
Precision Tapered -P86

Die Pinsel lassen sich mit Pinselreiniger oder der Deep-Cleanse-Methode mühelos reinigen, es bleiben keine Rückstände zurück. Nach dem ersten Waschen haben die Pinsel etwas chemisch gerochen, aber mittlerweile ist der Geruch verflogen.

Es folgt nun in Bildern der Vergleich zwischen der großen und den kleinen sythetischen Pinseln. Wie man sehen kann, haben die kleinen Pinsel die Form von Augenmakeuppinseln, sie liegen leicht in der Hand und man kann gut mit ihnen arbeiten.

Die kleineren Ausführungen sehen tatsächlich wie die kleinen Geschwister der großen Pinsel aus. Allerdings muss ich feststellen, dass sie wesentlich steifer gebunden sind, um einen optimalen Auftrag von zB Cremelidschatten sicherzustellen. Ein ebenso fluffiger kleiner Flat Top würde nicht den gewünschten Effekt erzielen.

Man liest über die Sigma Pinsel so einiges, die einen verteufeln sie, die anderen loben sie in den Himmel. Der Anfangsfehler, den die Firma begangen hat, nämlich ihre Pinsel mit den gleichen Nummern wie MAC zu versehen und so sehr offensichtlich für sich zu werben, wurde ausgebügelt. Die Pinsel tragen nun alle eigene Namen und Nummern. Die herkömmlichen Sigma Pinsel aus Echthaar gefallen mir bei weitem nicht so gut, wie ihre MAC-Verwandten.

Allerdings muss ich hier festellen, dass die sythetischen Pinsel von Sigma einen festen Platz in meiner täglichen Schinkroutine gefunden haben, sowohl die großen, als auch die kleinen. Ich habe ein ganzes Heer von Pinseln und es ist für Neuankömmlinge schwer sich in die vorderen Reihen zu kämpfen. Diese Pinsel haben es geschafft, was eindeutig für sie spricht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist meiner Meinung nach vollkommen in Ordnung, das komplette Set - kleine und große Pinsel zusammen kostet 99 Dollar zuzüglich Versand. Ich habe ohne große Probleme via Google einen -10% Gutschein gefunden, den ich anwenden konnte. Bestimmt geistern im Internet auch noch -20% Gutscheine herum.
Gerade im Herbst und Winter benutze ich dank meiner sehr trockenen Haut gerne cremige Produkte, sowohl auf den Augenlidern, als auch im Gesicht. Diese Pinsel werden mir weiterhin gute Dienste leisten und ich kann sie euch vorbehaltlos weiterempfehlen, wenn ihr auf der Suche nach neuen Pinseln seid.

New in: Paintpots

Yesterday I picked up some Paintpots from MAC's Posh Paradise collection. I was very excited to see MAC releasing colourful Paintpots again, because they are my favourite eyeshadow bases of all times. There are three purple tones in the collection, which surprises me. MAC did not come out with purple Paintpots before and now there are three different ones. Yes, they are different. Of course I love purple and I had to get them all!

The colours I picked are the following: Imaginary, Idyllic, Hyper Violet, Treasure Hunt and Half-Wild and i can't wait to try them all.

Idyllic is IMO a dupe for the discontinued Artifact Paintpot. If you like red/burgundy/wine eyemakeup you should definitly check out Idyllic because it is a perfect base for gorgeous looks.

There were three other Paintpots in this collection. Nubile (a fleshtone) is a quite hyped product. Bluntly I don't get the buzz about it, it reminds me of Painterly, which is a permanent colour. So I did not get it.
Genuine Treasure was too glittery for my taste, so I passed on this as well.
Finally there was Pure Creation, a mid-tone blue colour, which reminded me a lot of the MUFE Aqua Colour in No. 20, which I already own, so I did not get this one either.

All Paintpots in this collection are beautyful, don't get me wrong. But I don't have enough storage space for so many eyeshdow bases. This is logistical problem, which is going to be solved soon when I move into my new house.

Review TBS Body Butter Duo Macadamia (German Post)

Was es bereits seit einiger Zeit im Vereinten Königreich gibt, kann man nun auch endlich bei uns käuflich erwerben. Die Body Butter Duos von The Body Shop. Bei meinem letzten Besuch bei TBS habe ich mich wie ein kleines Kind gefreut, dass das Unternehmen passend zum Herbstbeginn diese neuen Produkte ins Sortiment aufgenommen haben. Meine Wahl ist auf die Duftrichtung Macadamia gefallen.

Der Übergang zwischen Sommer und Herbst ist für meine Haut nicht immer leicht. Einerseits brauchen bestimmte Stellen noch nicht so viel Feuchtigkeit, andere Stellen werden aber rauh und benötigen mehr Pflege und Aufmerksamkeit. Normalerweise bewältige ich die Übergangszeit mit zwei Produkten: Einer intensiven Bodybutter für trockene pflegebedürftige Stellen und einer etwas reichaltigeren Bodylotion für den Rest des Körpers. Zwei unterschiedliche Produkte bedeutet auch zwei Tiegelchen mehr im Badezimmer, also kam dieses Duo für mich gerade recht, schließlich ist auch in meinem Badezimmer dank der vielen Produkte Platz Mangelware.

In einer Plastikdose befinden sich 2 Produkte, die durch eine Trennwand voneinander abgegrenzt sind. Um das Ganze optisch ansprechend zu gestalten, hat TBS nicht einfach in der Mitte eine Trennwand eingezogen, sondern die Linienführung der Trennwand ähnelt dem Ying-Yang- Symbol. Der Deckel lässt sich leicht öffnen und wieder verschließen, auch mit eingecremten Händen.

Die rechte Seite beinhaltet das Proukt für trockene Hautpartien, es ist von der Kosistenz her eher fest, lässt sich aber dank der eigenen Körperwärme mühelos auftragen. Die linke Seite beinhaltet das Produkt für normale Haut, dieses weist die Konsistenz einer reichhaltigeren Bodylotion auf. Beide Seiten duften herrlich nach Macadamia und ein wenig Vanille, ohne aufdringlich zu sein.

Die Pfelegwirkung kann ich für meine trockene Haut als sehr gut einstufen. Meine Haut weist über den gesamten Tag kein Spannungsgefühl auf, riecht ein wenig nach Macadamia und meine sehr trockenen Hautstellen wie Ellenbogen oder Knie werden optimal gepflegt. Das Besondere an dem Produkt ist, dass man beide Seiten nach den Bedürfnissen der eigenen Haut variieren kann, ohne zwei Tiegelchen im Badezimmer stehen zu haben. Speziell auf Reisen oder bei den berühmten Overnight-Stays bei Freundinnen erleichtert dieses 2-in-1 Produkt das Beautygepäck wesentlich.

MAC'S Bare Study Paint Pot. Ich habe Jahre gebraucht, um diesen tollen schimmrigen Cremelidschatten korrekt auftragen zu können. Als ich mir einen neuen Pot gekauft habe, musste ich feststellen, dass mein altes Modell offenbar ein Montagsprodukt war. Mittlerweile verstehen wir uns blendend.

Völlerei – Welches ist dein leckerstes Beautyprodukt?
Zum Einen meine Sheabutter Bodybutter von TBS und zum Anderen mein EOS Lipbalm.

Faulheit – Welches Beautyprodukt vernachlässigst du aus Faulheit?
Fußcreme und ich bekomme bei jeder Pediküre Ärger deswegen.

Hochmut – Welches Beautyprodukt verleiht dir die meiste Selbstsicherheit?
Wimperntusche. Da meine Wimpern von Natur aus hell sind und ich meine Augen als den besten Teils meines Gesichts sehe.

Wollust – Was findest du beim anderen Geschlecht in kosmetischer Hinsicht anziehend?
Schöne Hände. Wenn der Kerl keine schönen Hände hat, wird er mich nie anfassen dürfen.

MAC Make me over

Yesterday I was invited to MAC's Preview Party for their MAC Make me over collection, which hit the stores today. I was very excited because I knew the girls would be there too. The girls are Chinda from Göttin der Finsternis, Guinevere from Beautyholic Anonymous and Noriko.
The party was great, there were free makeovers ( I dod not get one), cookies and sparkeling wine. And I chatted with Petra from Kirschblüte's blog, she is such a gorgeous young woman. I like meeting fellow bloggers.

Here are the producs that I purchased. Unfortunatly we are not getting the Evil Eye quad in Austria, so I bought three individual eyeshadows. These are pretty neutral every day colours, which I will be wearing to work a lot.

The picture shows Moleskin, Mythical and Carbonized.

I did not get any of the glosses because they were way to sheer for my liking. But I gut two lipsticks: Runaway Red and Prince Noir. Prince Noir is a pretty dark and berry shade for fall and I will wear it with a bold eyeliner and false lashes.

As a brush addict I had to get the 226 as a backup. I love this brush for crease-work and even for blending out the lower lashline. And I got one blush in Stunner. This blush is more like a beautypowder, it has a light colour payoff and leaves a gourgeous fall-glow on my cheeks. I'm not a fan of full-on blusher, I prefer subtle light colours that leave a hint of colour. If you are looking for a full-on colour, Stunner is nothing for you.

All in all I think MAC Make me over is a great collection for fall. Remember, I'm a sucker for fall collections ;-) There are pretty neutrals and sultry berry shades for the lips which I like.

Jasmin Water BB Cream

Schon länger hört/liest man viel Gutes über BB Creams, also habe ich mir für den August selbt ein Exemplar angeschafft. Zuerst war ich skeptisch, aber ich liebe diese Produkt. Die Jubelbotschaften über BB Creams sind wahr und ich verstehe nun, warum so viele Mädels diese Produkte gut finden.

There is the huge BB cream thing going on, I was reading about BB creams for about 3 months until I purchased one myself in August. This product is genius and I love it. Now I understand the buzz about BB creams.

Den Bare Study Paintpot mochte ich jahrelang überhaupt nicht, bis ich ihn im August zum ersten Mal mit Sam Chapman's Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Pinsel benutzt habe. Jetzt verstehen wir uns wieder, der Paintpot und ich. Außerdem habe ich herausgefunden, dass er die ideale Basis für meine Diorlidschatten in Rosy Nude sind, die ich den ganzen August über leidenschaftlich gerne getragen habe. Die Boldblack Lash Mascara von MAC hat mich positiv überrascht. Normalerweise mag ich die MAC Mascaras nicht so gerne, aber diese ist wirklich intensivst schwarz und trennt meine Wimpern perfekt.

MAC's paintpot in Bare Study and I had a kind of love/hate relationship until I started using it with Sam Chapman's Real Techniques Deluxe Crease brush this month. Now we're happy in love togehther. This Paintpot is a gorgeous base for the Dior eyeshadows that I wore nonstop this month. Bluntly I'm not a big fan of MAC's mascaras but I love the intense black colour of the Boldblack Lash.

Illusion d'Ombres de Chanel

Last week Chanel's fall collection found it's way to the Dark Tower. Frankly, I am a sucker for fall collections, it does not mater which brand or which theme copanies are bringing up. Spring and summer collections are nice to have but the fall collections make my makeup-loving heart sing. This may sound crazy (and it IS crazy) but I enjoy shopping for fall makeup more than I enjoy shopping makeup the rest of the year.

Chanel's collection excited me when I first saw the nailpolishes on the internet, especially Graphite. This was my dream come true: Black Pearl has a fall-y grown up brother! Just a littly side-note for all of you: I went through one entire bottle of Black Pearl because I love this polish so much. As time went by more info about the collection was released, I sucked up every photo and article and was drawn more and more into it. In June I went to my local Marionnaud and asked the ladies there if I could make a reservation for some items. Guess what they told me? 'We are sorry we are not getting the collection at all.' I was so sad and thought about ordering from Hana aka Mad about MAC. Unfortunately she got some very bad feedback from fellow bloggers by that time and I was not willing to take the risk that my Chanel package might get lost. I feared that the items I wanted would be sould out quickly in Autria and I would not be able to get my hands on them at all. But then my friend and hippo sister Nyota put an end to my Chanel-agony by personnal shopping my desired items for me. Thank you so much, my dear!

For sure I got all three nailpolishes and I love Graphite the most. This fall I will be having a passionate love affair with you, my sparkely gourgeous new friend! Sorry, Black Pearl, but I can't resist your brother ;-)
Chanel released new eyeshadows which are called Illusion D'Ombre (they will remain in the permanent line if I'm correct). All colours are gorgeous, the black one looks like a blackend night sky. But I decided to get the taupe one Illusoire and did not regret it. You know I am sort of married to my MAC Blackground Paint Pot and I don't need another sparkely black base. The staying power of the eyeshadow is great and I really love the colour because I can wear it on a daily basis to the office.
As I loved the Rose Platine eyepencil which came out with the summer collection so much I had to get Khaki Platine, which is a gorgeous addition to my beloved MAC Photo Realism quad. It stays put perfectly on the lid (as a base or as a liner) and on the waterline as well.

I skipped the eyeshadow quad, the blusher, the lipsticks and the glossimers because there are other fall collection items from other brands that caught my eye that I prefer over them. Did you get anything from the Chanel fall collection?

My favourite character from House Lannister is Tyrion but unfortunatly I could not transform into a dwarf. So I chose Cersei. I did not opt for the classic red and gold and red from their sigil but for neutral lips and golden brown tones to achieve a sultry eye makeup for the Lady of Casterly Rock.

Lady Melisandre of Assai

Lady Melisandre of Asshai is a priestess of R'hllor in service to Stannis Baratheon. Melisandre has prophetic powers that give her partial knowledge of future events. Unlike many other people in Westeros with access to prophecy, Melisandre has absolute faith in her own interpretation. She believes that Stannis is the messianic figure of R'hllor prophecy called Azor Ahai. She counsels him so that he can gain the necessary power to fight the Great Other, the enemy of R'hllor.

Melisandre is both beautiful and frightening so I decided to do a makup look based on her and the cult of R'hllor. I did not go for the classic red hair and red contacts but tried to shape my face a little unnatural and add some rhinestones for some extra fiery sparkle.

Der Sommer lässt auf sich warten, obgleich der Juli schon fast vorbei ist. Die für die Jahreszeit zu kühlen Temperaturen stören mich als eine der wenigen nicht, im Gegenteil, ich genieße es in meinem Urlaub nicht zu schwitzen. Hier habe ich für euch meine Juli Favoriten zusammengefasst.

Summer keeps us waiting, although July is almost over. Temperatures are reasonably low for this time of the year, which I don't mind at all. I enjoy my holidays without sweating and hiding from the sun. Here are my July favourites.

Gesicht/Face:
Im Urlaub bevorzuge ich es statt regulärer Foundation Tinted Moisturizer und Cream Blushes zu benutzen. Den UD Blush habe ich eigentlich nur wegen des Namens gekauft, die Farbe ist traumhaft schön und erzeugt einen gesunden Sommer-Glow ohne Bronzer zu verwenden.

When I'm on vacation I prefer to use tinted moisturizer and cream blushes instead of regular full coverage foundation and powder blush. I chose the UD blush because of the name (everyone needs a fetish, right?) and the colour is surprisingly wearable and gives an amazing summer glow without using bronzer.

MAC Bloggers Obsession

MAC's Bloggers Obsession collection caught my attention when I first read about it. Famous bloggers got the chance to develop their own eyeshadow or lipgloss in cooperation with MAC. Sadly this collection was only sold online in the USA and Canada. Luckily I could get my hands on some of the products which I want to present to you now.

I ordered my eyeshadow and my lipgloss from Hana aka MadaboutMAC. This was my first order and I was pleasantly surprised that everything worked out just fine. Hana was very friendly, I payed via Paypal and recieved my goods in perfect condition.

The collection contains four eyeshadows and 5 lipglosses, if you want to read more about it please check Temptalia's blog for further details. Each item was designed by a beauty blogger and they did a fabulous job.

I passed on Temptalia's Jealously Weakes which was the best selling item of this collection. So I picekd Hocus Pocus eyeshadow because I thought it would be peferct for a smokey eye and the name is just wicked and Parisian Skies eyeshadow because I'm madly in love with Paris and the shade is the perfect mixture between blue and grey. First of all I did not want to buy any lip products because I own a ton of lipgloss and I will never be able to use it up in this life even if I try very hard. But then I saw swatches of Nitro:licious 2046 and fell in love - truely, madly, deeply.

Hopefully MAC will do a Bloggers Obsession collection in collaboration with European bloggers too or at least relaunch the items in Europe with another collection in the future. This collection is a tribute to beauty bloggers who spend so much time on reviewing products and helping us to decide what to get (at least they help me deciding) and I think it's a good way to say 'thank you' to them.

Nachdem ich den ganzen Juni zu Hause war aufgrund meines Steißbeinbruchs, habe ich mich sehr wenig geschminkt. Also könnte es sein, dass meine Montasfavoriten etwas langweilig ausfallen.

Back in the days I used to dance with the dead every weekend, in abandoned tunnels, on the graveyard and clubs that noone even heard of before. ;-) This was my go-to makeup look to party: white makeup, plenty of eyeliner, rhinestones, a fully painted on black eyebrow and grey lips. Oh I miss dancing with dead!

Green again

This is a green look again. A couple of days ago I recieved a package from Tabatha with MAC's Oomph eyeshadow which had to be tried out asap. In addition to that I used MAC's Photo Realism quad, which is one of my favourite quads ever.

Some of you asked me to do more daytime/wearable looks or take pictures of my daily makeup. So I came up with the idea of doing one I the way I like it and the other eye more work appropriate. Needless to say I like the first look way better but see for yourself.

On my other eye I used the same products for a daytime look. In the mornings I do not spend an hour to do my makeup, I prefer sleeping longer. In addition to that I have to mention that I work in a rather conservative company and bold/dark/extremely colourful makeup is not allowed.

Moroccanoil & Mini Gewinnspiel (German Post)

Eingeöltes Haar habe ich eigentlich immer mit schmierigen Typen verbunden oder mit Naomi Campbell. Letztere betonte schon in den 80er Jahren ihre Haare regelmässig mit Kokosnussöl zu pflegen und sie so gesund und seidig zu halten. Aus den USA schwappte dann langsam aber sicher der Trend nach Europa und irgendwann war ich auch am Grübeln, ob denn nun etwas dran sei, an der pflegenden Wirkung des Öls im Haar.

Zugegeben, an Moroccanoil heranzukommen ist nicht gerade einfach, daher habe ich als erstes Haarölprodukt das Kérastase Elixir gekauft und auch seit dem Anfang des Jahres brav verwendet. Was mich allerdings an Kérastase stört ist der unglaublich intesive Kokos-Duft, der mich leider an diese schmierigen eingeölten Typen am Hausmeisterstrand von Ca Orle erinnert. Also habe ich mich auf die Jagd begeben und seit einem Monat nun ist Moroccanoil nun mein und ein fester Bestandteil meiner Haarpflege.

Mein Haar ist lang, gefärbt und trocken und somit kann man sich das Grauen vorstellen, wenn ich keine Haarpflegeprodukte verwende. Fizzeliges unbändigbares Haar, wer will denn schon so etwas haben?
Man kann Moroccanoil im trockenen Haar in den Spitzen anwenden. Dafür entnimmt man eine kleine Menge (Euro-2-Cent großer Blubb) und massiert es in die trockenen Spitzen des Haares. Das geschädigte Haar absorbiert das Produkt rasch, also keine Angst vor Ölflecken auf der Kleidung. Ich allerdings bevorzuge die Verwendung des Produktes auf handtuchtrockenem Haar nach der Haarwäsche. Die Vorgehensweise unterscheidet sich jetzt nicht wesentlich von der zuerst gegannten Anwendungsmethode, außer dass ich mein Haar danach wie gewohnt föhne.

25 ml des Produktes kosten bei HQ Hair 12,85 Pfund, das sind 14,60 Euro. Der Versand ist bei HQ Hair kostenlos, das bedeutet es kommen keine weiteren Kosten hinzu.

Einzige negative Eigenschaft liegt darin, dass das Produkt in der 25ml Variante keinen Pumpspender hat, an den ich mich beim Kérastase Elixir bereits gewöhnt hatte.

Es ist für mich ein Nachkaufprodukt, weil ich weniger Menge benötige, um ein gepflegtes Ergebnis zu erzielen, der Duft einfach nur traumhaft ist und die Pflegewirkung deutlich besser ist, als jene des Kérastase Elixirs.

Bei zuneta.com habe ich jüngst einige Rouge Bunny Rouge Sachen erstanden. Nachdem es relativ wenige Artikel oder Reviews zu der Marke gibt, habe ich mir gedacht ich teile meine Gedanken mit euch. RBR ist eine russische Marke, die das Thema Makeup mit Märchen verbindet, was ich persönlich sehr ansprechend empfinde.

I recently bought some Rouge Bunny Rouge products at zuneta.com and I thought I share my impressions with you. RBR is a Russian brand which wrappes their products in gorgeous fairytale-like packaging.

Gekauft habe ich vor allem ein Dekadentes Duo für meine Handtasche. Mein Schminktäschchen platzt bereits aus allen Nähten und ein 2 in 1 Produkt (Blush/ Gloss) kommt da gerade recht. Ich habe mir für die Farbe Rumba-Cubana entschieden und verweise an dieser Stelle an Bluebell mit ihren hübschen Lippen, um euch einen Swatch anzusehen.

I bought a decadent duo (liquid blush and gloss) for my handbag. My beautybag for on the go is bursting because I put so much stuff in it so I though this combination would help dealing with that problem. The colour combination is called Rumba-Cubana and you can see gorgeous swatches on gorgeous Bluebell here.

Natürlich musste ich die Lidschatten ausprobieren, aber nicht alle auf einmal, sondern nur einen matten und 2 schimmernde, um zu sehen, ob es sich auszahlt weitere zu kaufen. Mein absoluter Liebling ist Delicate Hummingbird, ein wunderschönes Violett, das man auch im Alltag hervorragend tragen kann.

Of course I had to get some eyeshadows and I decided to get 3 to try them out and see if I want to get more. I chose one matte eyeshadow and two shimmer ones. My favourite is Delicate Hummingbird which is s beautyful purple for every day.

Inspiriert von Me von Innenundaussen habe ich auch Opheline gekauft. Es ist dem Bite of an Apple Rouge von MAC sehr ähnlich, hat aber einen Spiegel, also kann ich es auch in der Handtasche mitnehmen.

Finally I got a blush in Opheline which comes in a cute compact with a mirror (this will go in my makeupbag as well). It reminds me of MAC's Bite of an Apple from the Venomous Villains Collection which is one of my favourite bluhes.

Obwohl die Produkte sehr teuer waren bin ich mit dem Kauf mehr als zufrieden. Die Qualität der Produkte ist wunderbar und die Verpackung gefällt mir ebenfalls sehr gut. Leider kann man die Produkte nur online bestellen, was für mich den einzigen Negativaspekt darstellt.

Although the products were I expensive I'm very pleased with them and would buy them again. The only downside is that they are only available online.

Review: Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Milk Shampoo and Conditioner (in German)

Zugegeben, wer möchte nicht gerne gesundes, toll aussehendes, sexy Haar haben? Nachdem ich auf vielen Blogs unter anderem auf les belles affaires Lobeshymnen zum Healthy Sexy Hair Shampoo und Conditioner gelesen habe und ich zu dem Zeitpunkt mit meiner Mähne mehr als unzufrieden war, wollte ich diese Wunderprodukte an mir selbst ausprobieren. Gesagt, getan. Nach anfänglicher Euphorie über den wirklich wunderbaren Geruch der Produkte stellte sich aber schnell die erste Enttäuschung ein. Seidiges sexy Haar erhielt ich auch nach mehrmaliger Anwendung leider nicht. Dabei habe ich mich bei der Anwendung genau an das gehalten, was auf der Packung stand. Also landeten beide Behälter halb befüllt in einer Ecke meines Badezimmers und schliefen dort 2 Monate lang einen Dornröschenschlaf, bis ich sie nun im Zuge meines Aufbrauchprojektes wieder hervorgeholt habe. Ich habe also 2 Testdurchläufe über mehrere Monate hinweg gestartet, um dem Produkt eine faire Chance zu geben.

Mein Haar ist trocken und lang, ich wasche meine Haare 2 Mal pro Woche und möchte ehrlichgesagt nicht 5 verschiedene Produkte verwenden, um seidiges glänzendes Haar zu bekommen. Nach der Anwendung dieses Shampoos und des Conditioners brauchte ich immer noch ein Leave-In-Produkt um meine Haare überhaupt durchkämmen zu können. Danach war ich mit dem Ergebnis einigermaßen zufrieden. Allerdings fetten meine Haare (für ihre Verhätnisse) nach Verwendung dieser Produkte sehr rasch nach, was mir auch nicht gefällt.

Das Shampoo kostet 15, 95 Euro und der Conditioner ebenso. In beiden Produkten sind 300 ml Produkt enthalten. Ich habe meine beiden Produkte bei Hagelshop bestellt und selbst bezahlt.

Fazit: Soymilch ist eine tolle Sache, ich schütte sie liebend gerne in meinen Nachmittags-Kaffee oder in meinen Chai Latte, aber als Shampoo und Conditioner ist sie vollkommen ungeeignet. Daher werde ich beide Produkte nicht nochmal nachkaufen. Allerdings kann ich nicht ausschließen andere Produkte von Sexy Hair zu testen, denn vielleicht klappt es ja doch mit der versprochenen Wirkung.

Das ist ein einfaches EOTD, das ich heute mit Hilfe der Zoeva 88 Palette und ein paar Glitzersteinchen gemacht habe. Es ging mir darum meine unruhige Hand in ein wenig Strichführung zu üben und mich von meinem schmerzenden Steißbein abzulenken. Dieses Makeup könnte man zu Mardi Gras oder vielleicht an Fasching tragen.

This is just a simple eye of the day that I did using the Zoeva 88 Palette and some rhinestones. First of all I wanted to practice a steady hand and some line drawing and second I wanted to distract myself from my hurting coccyx. This makeup could be suitable for Mardi Gras or a fancy dress party.

Der Mai war ein arbeitsintensiver Monat, also spiegelt sich das auch in meinem Monatsfavoriten wieder.
May was a busy month for me so my monthly favourites are all work-appropriate.

Leider kann ich nicht nachvollziehen warum sehr viele Bloggerinnen das MAC Magically Cool Liquid Powder Honey Rose nicht mögen. Gerade zu Bronzer ist es ein idealer Highlighter, der sich toll auf der Haut anfühlt. Warm Soul ist mein ultimativer Sommer-Blush, er verleiht mir einen sonnegeküssten Glow.

Unfortunatly I can't understand why bloggers hate the MAC Magically Cool Liquid Powder Honey Rose. I think it looks gorgeous worn together with bronzer and it feels good on the skin. Warm Soul by MAC is my alltime favourite summer blush because it gives me this summer-glow.

Parfum Tag (German Post)

Chamy hat mich getagged und sich einen Eindruck meiner Parfum-Sammlung gewünscht. Falls Ihr den Blog noch nicht kennt, schaut vorbei, da gibt es immer lesenswerte Artikel.
Leider bin ich absolut kein Parfum-Freak, ich entscheide eher nach Verpackung ob ich ein Parfum kaufe oder nicht.

Wie viele Parfums besitzt du?
14 Stück.

Mehr günstiges oder mehr teures Parfum?
Mittelklasse, einen Duft über 200 Euro besitze ich nicht.

Selber kaufen oder schenken lassen?
Jede Frau freut sich über ein Parfum-Geschenk, allerdings kann man da als Schenkender auch kapital falsch liegen. ;-)

Erinnerst du dich noch an den erstes Parfum?
Ja, ein Oilily Parfum in einem zuckersüßen bunten Flakon, ich habe es geliebt. Geschenkt hat es mir mein Patenonkel.

Was ist dein aktuelles Lieblingsparfum?
Momentan Thomas Sabo Charm Rose, das trage ich gerne im Frühling/Sommer.

Welches Parfum kannst du überhaupt nicht riechen?
Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, obgleich es einen zauberhaften Flakon hat. Eine ehemalige Schulkollegin, die es mit der Körperhygiene nicht sehr genau genommen hat, parfumierte sich damit. Mir wird heute noch übel und ich muss an ihre Dreckverkrusteten Fingernägel denken, wenn ich das Parfum rieche.

Der ideale Frühlings-/ Sommerduft?
Für mich Thomas Sabo Charm Rose und Armani Code Eau Fraiche. Letzteres eher für die lauen Sommernächte.

Der ideale Herbst-/Winterduft?
Dominique Ropion Portrait of a Lady, da fühle ich mich in die Vergangenheit zurückversetzt und wie eine feine Dame.

Wählst du dein Parfum alleine aus oder holst du die Meinung von Freund / Mann oder Freunden ein?
Zugegeben, ich kenne mich mit Parfums überhaupt nicht aus. Daher frage ich meistens meine Freundin Anna um Rat, wen ich ein neues Parfum suche. Sie trifft dann eine Vorauswahl und ich nehme das, was mir am besten gefällt.

Wandelnde Duftwolke oder dezentes Lüftchen?
Dezentes Lüftchen, alles andere bereitet mir selbst und meiner Umwelt Kopfschmerzen.

Eine Fee erscheint dir und sagt dir, dass du dir den perfekten Duft wünschen darfst. Was wäre dieser?
Ich schicke die Fee zu Anna, die meine Vorstellungen für die Fee übersetzen darf.
