Slowly spring is coming and as I am bored of winter-colurs I was very happy to see Maybelline release the Colour Tattoo 24 Hours Cream Eyeshadows. When it comes to eyeshadow bases I swear by MAC's Paintpots or MUFE's Aqua Creams but ... MAC discontinued the colourful Paintpots and brings them only back in colour stories and the Aqua Creams can be tricky to work with especially when you have oily lids.
My dear friend E. purchased the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hours Cream Eyeshadows for me in Germany and sent them to me because I could not wait until the release in Austria. Patience is not my virtue.
I purchased all colours except the green one because I rarely use bright green eyeshadow on a daily basis and I have the a green MUFE Aqua Cream which works just fine.
Look how pretty these little pots are, when they are all lined up and photo ready! The sound of them when I open the top makes me happy. This must sound like I am a complete lunatic but (quoting Lady Gaga) 'baby I was born this way'.
My favorite colours are the bronze and the taupe/grey one for everyday looks. For nighttime looks or for a little pop of colour I like the turquoise and the silver one.
Although I was very skeptical when I received them I have to say that these Colour Tattoo 24 Hours Cream Eyeshadows are comparable to MAC's Paintpots, they perform exactly the same on my eyelids and they do not crease. Hopefully Maybelline will release a skin-coloured one as well, this could be an alternative to my beloved Painterly Paintpot.
Have you seen these products in your drugstore by now? Have you bought them? What are yout thoughts on them?
